Clubs and Activities

Name of Club Brief description 
Art Club (A and B) Art club is for any student interested in creating some amazing artwork and decorating our school. There are two different clubs (A&B) so that I can serve more students, and each club meets once a month. Club dues are $10 to help cover supply costs. We'll be making our own tie-dye club shirts, Chihuly sculptures, fused glass jewelry, ceramics, and more!
BeyBlade Club All students are welcome to come battle with BeyBlades. This is a "bring your own Bey" club and the only Beyblades available will be the ones students bring with them. Students will partner off to battle/dual with Beyblades where they will learn good sportsmanship and strategic thinking.
Chess Club Come learn to play chess or teach a friend how to play chess.
Gentlemen of Cypress Grove Gentlemen of Cypress Grove is a club for young men at CG! In this club, we'll be developing positive student-teacher relationships, having fun playing games and connecting with each other, and learning ways to be a gentleman in our daily lives. Membership in Gentlemen of Cypress Grove is by invitation only.
Girls Club The Girls Club of Cypress Grove is a club for young women in which students learn about becoming good citizens, skills to help build young ladies, and teamwork activities to grow interpersonal skills. Students also participate in games, arts and crafts, and a variety of fun activities. All girls are welcome.
Lego Club All students are welcome to come to build with Legos. They will be participating in free building, timed/race building, and competition building. This club supports creative thinking, spatial reasoning, and team building.
Marathon Kids Runner's Club Runners Club with Marathon Kids incentives! Each time a runner accumulates 26.2 miles, they will earn a prize from Marathon Kids (up to 104.8 miles).
Student Council A student council is a group of student leaders who work with an adult advisor to collaborate with others to impact their school community, which impacts their city or town, which impacts our state, which impacts our country, which changes the world. Through projects and activities, student councils work to: Promote citizenship, scholarship, leadership, human relations, and cultural values.
